About us
Short-Term residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP)
The 6-bed adolescent residential treatment program, based in Alameda County, is the most intensive children’s short-term treatment program REFUGE offers. We currently have three STRTP facilities located in Alameda County. We are a hands-off Mental Health Residential Facility for delinquent and at-risk youths ages 6-17. The goal of the R.E.F.U.G.E. is to offer a therapeutic environment that is conducive to meeting the needs of our clients.
Transitional-Aged Youth (TAY)
The TAY program serves young adults 18 years of age to their 25th birthday living with mental health conditions who temporarily need intensive mental health treatment and support to stabilize and live independently in the community. Young adults reside and participate in groups throughout the day and are able to stay from 6 -12 months. Participants are required to pay a monthly program fee that covers board and care.
The TAY program is shared housing, communal living space and therapeutic activities with up to 13 peers. Meals and snacks are provided. Linens, hygiene products, and laundry machines are provided on site.
This program provides Rate Classification Level services and training for perspective. clients. Services will be provided utilizing a six bed licensed facility, designed to teach appropriate social, recreational, and self-care skills. The facility is located in Oakland, California, with adequate space to provide training and a more natural home environment.
