Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program

We are committed to providing a healing environment for each youth in the program, in which they feel emotionally and physically safe in order to stabilize and increase their level of functioning. Most youth served by the STRTP have experienced abuse, neglect, violence and other types of trauma. The REFUGE STRTP recognizes the profound impact that trauma has had and
continues to have on the lives of our clients.

Our adolescent residential treatment program are the most intensive children’s short-term treatment program REFUGE offers. We currently have three STRTP facilities located in Alameda County and two located in Sacramento County. We are a hands-off Mental Health Residential Facility for delinquent and at-risk youths ages 6-17.  The goal of the R.E.F.U.G.E. is to offer a therapeutic environment that is conducive to meeting the needs of our clients.
